Is the founder of ABP Health, PLLC, where she works with clients as a women's health occupational therapist and alongside colleagues at Leelanau Physical Therapy. Born in Alpena, she has a passion for improving the quality of life of the residents of Northern Michigan. Erin graduated from Lake Superior State University in 2008 earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science with a minor concentration in psychology, and an Associate’s Degree in Health and Fitness, all while competing as a member of the NCAA Division II Volleyball Team. Motivated to continue her education after a four-year stay in the beautiful Upper Peninsula, she moved to Indiana. Erin attended the University of Indianapolis and in 2010 she received her Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy. While pursing her advanced degree she was able to gather esteemed clinical experience under the supervision of skilled occupational therapists at The University of Chicago Medical Center and Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota.
Before focusing her attention on the practice of women's health, Erin became a well-versed therapist treating patients in a variety of settings. These responsibilities included attending to the geriatric population within long-term care facilities and addressing developmental concerns of students in the emerging area of telehealth. Working with the pediatric population through online connections presented the opportunity for Erin to take on the management of a team of occupational therapists from afar while traveling Europe with her husband as he followed his journey as a professional hockey player.
This unique chance to travel while maintaining a career role opened the door for Erin to witness healthcare practices in many countries. One of the most notable differences, in the rehabilitation sector, was the treatment protocols and programs offered to women in various stages of pregnancy and postpartum healing. As she began researching and participating in extensive training, it was apparent there was a need to bring this knowledge and focused area of rehabilitation to Northern Michigan. Erin is passionate about delivering this service and is excited to assist you along your journey to wellbeing!
